Definition of fit-for-purpose IT
In practice IT consists of a number of closely related, intrinsic elements and is not simply a collection of people and technologies. Each IT Element is a set of logically connected management components, processes, and activities that fall within the scope of an IT function.
IT can be considered fit-for-purpose if all Elements are meeting business objectives. The IT Elements normally included are listed on the right. However, additional Elements can be included depending on the size and complexity of the IT Function.Insite’s policies and procedures ensure we always deliver fit-for-purpose IT to our clients.
